Donna leads the Office of Faculty Programs which focuses on the development and execution of programs for MIT faculty that span his/her academic career including the Faculty Leadership Program, Department Heads Program, Life with Tenure Program, and New Faculty Program. The academic year-long programs provide an opportunity for faculty, at punctuated career stages, to become part of a cohort, share the wisdom and perspectives of their senior colleagues, develop their professional capabilities primarily through the application of research-based findings and active learning exercises, deepen their understanding of MIT, and experience our incredibly rich and diverse community through the program’s cross-institute representation of participants and presenters. Donna also leads the Faculty Partner Career Transition Assistance Program, which supports faculty recruitment and retention across the Institute. In addition, Donna represents MIT on the Oversight Committee of the Boston-area Northeast Faculty Leadership Program: Faculty Success through Diversity funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. She works in collaboration with leadership at other Boston institutions that has created a program designed to develop diverse leaders within member institutions.

Prior to her current role, Donna spent over a decade as the Senior Associate Dean and Chief Financial Officer at the MIT Sloan School of Management, contributing to strategic planning, faculty affairs as well as responsibilities for finance, human resources, information technology, and student financial aid.

Donna earned a Master in Education degree from Tufts University, followed by MIT part-time graduate studies undertaking degreed education courses in Accounting, Information Technology and Business/Management. She has also been an active participant in MIT Sloan Executive Education courses on topics of leadership, negotiation, communication, and more.
